Day 13

Something That Never Fails to Make Me Feel Better.

I think this says it all.

Day 12

My Favorite Movie.

How to Train Your Dragon

I love this movie. I first saw it in theaters and I was blown away. The commercials didn't do it justice, because I was thinking it was going to be some annoying little kids movie. But it's not. It's a beautifully animated movie about friendship and standing up for what's right, even if you're standing by yourself.
Hiccup is adorable and I want Toothless for my own.

Slumdog Millionaire

Word's can't describe properly describe this movie and how much I love it.
It's a must-watch for everyone.
Also, the ending is my favorite ending of any movie.

Day 11

Things that I'm Scared Of.

Sharks and cougars terrify the crap out of me. That's why I never plan on living in the mountains or by the ocean.

I'm also scared of wasted opportunities and time with loved ones.

The future scares me a little bit, because it's very uncertain, but I'm getting a better grip on that fear.

I've also developed a slight claustrophobia...

Day 10

3 Personality Traits I'm Proud Of.

1. My optimistic outlook on life. Some people might scoff at being optimistic, but I don't think it's naive or unrealistic to look on the bright side of things. I think it makes me a happier and more hopeful person.

2. I like to think that I'm always there for my friends when they need me to be. I always tell them that I will be, whether if they need me at 3 AM to come pick them up or just a nice text to reassure them after a hard day.

3. I'm not a very social person, meaning I can be rather shy but when I am in situations where I have to talk with strangers, I think I'm a very friendly and warm person.

Day 9

The Best Thing to Happen to Me This Week.

My best friend Ashley is visiting for the weekend!!!
We have all missed her a lot this year and it will be a grand time to have her over for a weekend.

I also bought hair rollers a few days ago. Those have been fun so far!

I was also complimented on my NERD shirt yesterday from my history TA. That was cool.

Day 8

A Date I Would Love To Go On.

Possibility #1

Dinner and a show.

First, a classy Chinese restaurant.
Next, a Broadway (or the equivalent) show.
Last, either walking down town or going back home to watch TV. Just spending time with each other :)

I like dressing up and feeling fancy with my special someone. :)

Possibility #2

A lovely spring picnic!
I love spring, I love food and I love quality time with my boyfriend.
Combine them and it would be a wonderful date! :)

Day 7

My Current Relationship.

Today, Matt and I have been dating four months.

It feels like much longer than only a few months. It feels like we've known each other for our whole lives, but then we are still learning a lot about each other and growing as people and as a couple.

I might be a little crazy all the time and he might be a little grumpy sometimes... but these four months have been the best. :)

Day 6

Something I'm Currently Worrying About.

In 9 months I hope to be in London, England.
But the process of getting there is very nerve wrecking.
I have the application mostly completed, but that is only the beginning of the process.
After I turn it in I have to wait until mid-March to find out if I was accepted by the study abroad program and then I have to wait until April to find out if I was accepted into Kingston University. Then I have to attend meetings, worry about money, buy plane tickets, figure out packing and all the other jazz that goes along with traveling.

I know that it's going to be SO worth all the worry and stress... but it's definitely making this semester more stressful than the last one.

Day 5

The Person I Like and Why I Like Them.

I have been dating my super awesome boyfriend for almost four months.
I like him for many, many reasons but I'll list off a few...

  • He makes me laugh every single day.
  • He is a genuinely good guy and very down to earth.
  • He is intelligent and I can have a mature conversation with him. (Which occurs rarely!)
  • He likes to read. :)
  • He's very respectful and caring.
  • Even though he has a hard time admitting it sometimes, he's a nerd! (Which is the new sexy.)
  • He's a great cook.
  • He has ambitions and dreams that he's passionate about.
He is my best friend and the best boyfriend imaginable.

Day 4

Five Things That Annoy Me About Boys

1. The stereotype that guys can't show emotions. Having emotions doesn't mean you're weak, it just shows that you actually have a heart and care about people.
2. Too many of them think with their penises.
3. The guys that only care about booze and boobs.
4. How, with some guys, the immaturity bar rises the more testosterone there is in a room.
5. The womanizing jerks.

Five Things That Annoy Me About Girls
1. How some girls complain that all girls are annoying. Generally, it's those girls that are the annoying ones and cause problems.
2. How we over analyze everything. Life is pretty simple, we just need to figure that out.
3. The girls that don't stand up for their beliefs and wants.
4. How some girls define themselves by their boyfriend or friends.
5. The girls that dumb themselves down, because they don't think it's cool to be smart.

What kind of person attracts you?

Adam Levine

 Ryan Reynolds

Matt Eilers

Striking eyes.
Awesome hair.
Sense of humor.

Day 2

How have you changed in the past two years?

I'm going to tweak this question a little and talk about how I've changed since I became a college student, which has only been about a year and a half.

I don't think I've changed in a very noticeable way since I started at Central last year, because most of the changes have been internal.

1) I've become more open minded and accepting.
2) I've become stronger in my beliefs.
3) I have fully embraced my nerdy awesomeness.
4) I changed majors and career aspirations.
5) I have begun to speak my mind more.

Also, I'm happier than I was a year and a half ago. I have fantastic friends, the best boyfriend I could ever ask for and a supporting family.

August 2011

Life is splendid.

i am not a happy camper.

Dear society,
I have a hard time speaking my mind sometimes, because I'm not usually a confrontational person. But I have been sent over the edge and can't keep my mouth shut any longer.

Please, for the love of Dumbledore, grow up.
I am so sick and tired of the blind hatred, prejudices, and stupidity that is running rampant in our world.

I had a friend on Facebook (they have now been deleted from my list) who posted a status a couple days ago describing a male and ending with "then he must be a fag."
What really sickens me, is that 51 people liked their status.

What. The. Hell.

Then today, the same person had the decency to quote Eminem in saying something about they don't care about sexual orientation, race, religion etc, "as long as you're nice to me, I'll be nice to you."
Oh, really? Just yesterday you were preaching a different story when you decided to use a derogatory term.
People like my unfriend and all the people that liked their status and said NOTHING really make me sick.

It's not "funny" to use offensive terms like that. It's not "cool" to call someone that.
It's uneducated, ignorant and highly unacceptable.
When you use words like "fag" or "gay" as insults, you are insulting millions of people. You are calling them stupid, when they aren't. They are people who deserve respect.

Next time you feel like using a derogatory term... don't.

Thank you,
A very angry person.
